PROJECTS

Since its formation in 2021, the RWSC Marine Mammal Subcommittee has served as the focal group for coordination of archival passive acoustic monitoring in U.S. Atlantic waters. Participants include staff from state and federal agencies, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, private companies, researchers, and other experts.

Data Management Best Practices for Long-Term Archival PAM Data
The RWSC PAM Data Management Best Practices addresses the data collection, management, and storage phases of a long-term/archival PAM project to ensure that while numerous individual entities may be deploying, collecting, and analyzing PAM data, the infrastructure and information exists to facilitate future meta-analyses and syntheses of PAM data across the U.S. Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf.
